✔️ Additives like kojic acid & vitamin C are pH-sensitive, but not harmful.

  • Kojic acid may lose some potency in high-pH soap but still supports brightening.
  • Vitamin C can degrade partially during saponification, but remaining levels still act as antioxidants.
  • Neither ingredient becomes harmful in soap form—only less potent.

✔️ Lye is neutralized → no risk once cured.

  • Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is essential for saponification but is fully consumed in the reaction.
  • After proper curing (4–6 weeks), no active lye remains—only gentle, skin-loving soap and natural glycerin.
  • Result: safe, stable, and long-lasting bars.
