How EKO BODY Was Born
Share
EKO BODY didn’t start as a business idea.
It started as a personal struggle.
I’m the founder of EKO BODY, and for most of my life, I never had skin problems. My skin was normal, healthy, and easy to care for—until my early 30s. I’m 37 now, and that’s when everything changed.
What started as mild dryness slowly turned into severe dry skin (xerosis). My skin became itchy, flaky, tight, and uncomfortable. I began noticing early wrinkles, uneven texture, and a dull, gray tone that made my skin look tired and aged. On top of that, I experienced unexpected hair shedding, something I had never dealt with before.
At the same time, I started feeling signs of hormonal imbalance, and my skin was no longer responding the way it used to.
When Commercial Soaps Stopped Working
For years, I had relied on commercial body soaps—just like most people do. I trusted them because they were familiar, widely used, and heavily marketed. But as my skin changed, those same products began to make things worse.
I tried switching brands, formulas, and “gentle” or “moisturizing” versions. Some products gave short-term relief, but the results never lasted. Over time, my skin became:
- More dry
- More irritated
- More sensitive
- More dependent on products
The cycle was exhausting.
I started realizing that many commercial soaps rely on synthetic detergents, preservatives, and fillers that may cleanse quickly but can disrupt the skin’s natural barrier over time. Instead of supporting my skin, they were stripping it.
That’s when I knew I needed to stop masking the problem—and start understanding it.
The Research That Changed Everything
I began researching ingredients, skin biology, and traditional remedies. That’s when I discovered something surprising:
The skin thrives on ingredients it recognizes.
That research led me to grass-fed beef tallow and goat milk—ingredients that have been used for generations, long before modern synthetic skincare existed.
Once I understood how they worked with the skin—not against it—I knew I had found the foundation of EKO BODY.
Why Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
Grass-fed beef tallow closely resembles the skin’s natural oils (sebum), which allows it to absorb easily and support the skin barrier instead of disrupting it.
Tallow is naturally rich in:
- Vitamins A, D, E, and K
- Skin-supportive fatty acids
- Nourishing lipids that help maintain moisture balance
Instead of leaving skin tight or squeaky clean, tallow helps skin feel soft, comfortable, and supported.
Why Goat Milk
Goat milk is gentle, soothing, and naturally nourishing. It contains:
- Naturally occurring lactic acid for mild exfoliation
- Fatty acids that help retain moisture
- Vitamins and minerals that support skin comfort
Goat milk cleanses without over-drying, making it ideal for skin that feels sensitive, dull, or compromised.
Supporting Ingredients Chosen With Intention

Compared to Commercial Soaps
Many commercial body soaps contain:
- Synthetic surfactants
- Artificial fragrances
- Harsh preservatives
- Ingredients designed for foam and shelf life—not skin health
While they may cleanse quickly, over time they can contribute to:
- Dryness and irritation
- Barrier disruption
- Dull-looking skin
- Increased sensitivity
EKO BODY was created as an alternative—one that respects skin’s natural structure and long-term comfort.
More Than Skincare—A Return to Balance
EKO BODY was born out of frustration, research, and a desire for something better. What began as a personal solution became a brand rooted in honest ingredients, skin compatibility, and long-term care.
Because skincare shouldn’t fight your body.
It should work in harmony with it.
